Walkabout Perfomers

This is an application form for offering a Walkabout act at Buddhafield Festival 2025. Our theme for 2025 is Uncovering the Jewel. The festival will run from Wednesday 16th July to Sunday 20th July.

Walkabouts are acts that brighten up the festival generally, with the freedom to roam and connect with those you come across, not being based in a particular venue.

With this, your main focus will be entertaining the people who are out in the field queuing for workshops - who often have to wait a long time (and sometimes don’t even get in if there is a limit to capacity). We are looking for mobile acts which are lively, interactive, uplifting and colourful.

Walkabout shifts are generally 2hrs a day, in exchange for your ticket and a vehicle pass. We no longer offer meal ticket tokens as part of the exchange

Applications will stay open until midnight on Sunday May 25th , we will start processing applications the following day. We won't be able to comment on the progress of your application until after May 26th onwards; thank you for your patience in advance. You can log in to your Eventree account anytime to view your application details. We will contact you to offer you a slot or to let you know you have been unsuccessful as soon as we can.

Please answer as many questions as possible. Completing this form fully saves time and energy in the long run. We ask for all the information needed to fully grasp what you are offering, to find you an appropriate performance slot, and to promote you online, in the printed festival programme, and at the information point on site.

Warmly,

The Walkabouts Team

  • We ask walkabout artists to work 2 hours a day for their ticket, with a check-in  each day.
  • We understand that walkabout acts often require multiple people. However, unfortunately there are very limited tickets available for us to allocate for this discipline. Therefore, you are more likely to be accepted if your act can offer value by working with people who are already available on-site through other routes; present multiple acts or appearances; or function with a minimal team.
