Public Transport

Trains
The nearest station is Taunton. Journeys take about 2 hours from London or Birmingham, 1 hour from Bristol and 30 minutes from Exeter. Please make sure you check for disruptions to your journey when making your travel plans. 

 

Coaches
Taunton is about 4 hours from London and 1 hour from Bristol. National Express run regular services to Taunton.

 

Shuttle bus from Taunton to Site'

A shuttle bus service is provided for CREW on the day before the event and the morning of the first day of the event if required and for the general PUBLIC from the first day of the event to tat-down Monday.

The service is free of charge.  

The festival shuttle bus travels between the Festival Gate and Taunton Railway Station, KILKENNY CAR PARK.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

When arriving at Taunton station please use the NORTH exit nearest platform 5, where there is a BUS STOP and a CASH POINT.

The Taunton shuttle bus pick-up point is up the steps in the KILKENNY CAR PARK. If you see a taxi rank and ticket office you are at the WRONG EXIT. Please re-enter the station and use stairs or lift to the North exit.

The pick up point is at the temporary parking bays next to a Salvation Army clothing bank at the far end of KILKENNY CAR PARK. If you require step free access to the car park please follow the pavement to the left of steps.

  • We recommend that you leave site at least 2 hours before your train is due.
  • Please don’t all aim to leave on the last buses. 

Additionally, during the festival please use the extra service below if you want to go into Taunton for supplies.

Taxis

If you need to catch a taxi up to the site, most cabs wait at the new ticket office side of the railway station, next to Platform 1.

Fares are typically approx £25 on weekdays and approx £36 at weekends.

Local Buses
Two bus services run from Taunton to very close to the site.

See the Traveline website for current details and up-to-date info. Please do this in advance as reception on the site can be patchy although it's reliable up at the gate.

Sat Nav and Online Maps
TA3 7DY will get you to the Festival entrance at Culmhead Business Park. 

There are road closures close to the site during the 2024 event so please ensure you follow the AA signs for Buddhafield Festival when you get close rather than your satnav. 

From the M5
At junction 25, take the A358 for Taunton.
Take the first exit at the next roundabout (staying on the A358), then take the next left, signed for ‘Holway, Corfe (B3170) and racecourse’, opposite the Creech Castle hotel.
Carry on along the Bridgewater Road and take the third left (at the traffic lights) into Ilminster Road.
At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Blackbrook Way.
At the next roundabout take the first exit onto Chestnut Drive. Follow Chestnut Drive until it ends at a T-junction with Shoreditch Road (the B3170). Turn left, heading for Corfe.
Pass through Corfe (where the road changes name to Whitford Hill), then pass Whitford village. The road goes uphill, passing through a woodland park, where you should look for a four-way crossroads with a rusty-white signpost: turn right, following the signs towards Wellington.
Keep following the signs to Wellington. Bear right at the next junction and pass the Holman Clavel pub on the left.
At the next junction (crossroads), turn left.
After just under a mile turn right into Culmhead Business Park, then after 50m go through the gate on your right and follow the track to the Festival site.

From the A303
If travelling West (coming from London), about 8 miles out of Illminster turn right onto the B3170 signed for Corfe and Taunton. 
If travelling East, then about 7 miles after Honiton, turn left onto the B3170 signed for Corfe and Taunton.
Take a left at the rusty-white road sign towards Blagdon and Wellington.
Carry on following the signs for Wellington, pass the Holman Clavel pub on the left.
At the next junction (crossroads), turn left.
After just under a mile turn right into Culmhead Business Park, then after 50m go through the gate on your right and follow the track to the festival site.
