15th – 23rd July, with a few opportunities to start two days earlier on 13th
The Toilet Wizards are part of the Buddhafield site crew and tend the compost toilets before, during and after the festival. These toilets smell a whole load better than chemical portaloos and turn our poo into nutrient-rich compost, which returns goodness to land without wasting water! Pooing in/tending to a compost loo truly makes the world a better place.
You will need to be willing to replenish toilet roll, hand soap and sawdust, give a few toilets a quick scrub and clean some sinks. There is also space to learn new skills, fireside sitting and singing, group check-ins, game playing and daily meditations. We come together as a team, living side by side, not only to create and maintain the infrastructure of a festival but to build a community and the atmosphere that Buddhafield is known and loved for.
We ask you to come and live on-site with us from 15th-23rd July (with a few opportunities to start 2 days earlier on 13th) in your vehicle or tent or under your tarp and bring your energy, willingness, physical labour, skills and ideas.
In exchange, we offer:
- Your ticket to the festival (17th – 21st July)
- A vehicle pass, if needed
- 3 vegan meals a day
- Hot drinks and snacks throughout the day during the setup and tat-down. Hot drinks throughout the event.
- Meditation and Dharma input, if you’d like it
- A lovely community environment
Toilet Wizard applications may be open until 17th May, 2024, and we will not process applications until after this date, so please wait to hear from us until at least a couple of weeks from then before getting in touch. We will not be able to advise on the status of your application until then.
If we get a large number of applications, we may close early, so please apply as soon as you can.
