The SOMA area is a place for somatic practices, ranging from contact improvisation, yoga, tai chi, dance, 5Rhythms, ecstatic dance, BMC, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, or any other embodiment practice.
We will be a team of around ten facilitators and some supporting musicians.
Apply with offers to lead workshops, classes, laboratories or guided sessions.
This application is also for musicians who have experience in playing and holding spaces for contact improvisation jams, 5Rhythms waves or ecstatic dances.
We will aim to theme the sessions around the panel topic of each day.
These are the themes of last year, soon to be updated:
- Individual Pain/Collective Pain
- Interfaith
- Land Justice
- Peace Activism
If any of these topics inspire you and you imagine you can weave them into your sessions please include this in your workshop proposals.
We will finish the days with a more open session, either a contact improvisation jam, 5Rythyms wave, or ecstatic dance.
If you have experience holding these kinds of spaces and are up for joining the team, please add this to your application.

The Green Earth Awakening Camp is a charity fundraising event, supporting wider Buddhafield projects such as Buddhafield retreats and land maintenance. Buddhafield events also provide a context to practise as a Buddhist Right Livelihood for many teams of practitioners on a full-time, part-time and voluntary basis. We run on a currency of generosity and with an ethos of 'give what you can, take what you need'.
You don't need to be a Buddhist to be involved with the camp, however we ask that you support our principles of providing a safe, inclusive, warm hearted space that is both drink and drug free.
The gathering will run Wednesday 10th September to Sunday 14th September 2025.
We will start processing applications from late August, and we will contact every applicant. However please note we won't be able to comment on the progress of your application until after then, so please be patient.
You can log in to your eventree account anytime to view your application details. We will contact you to offer you a slot or to let you know you have been unsuccessful.
Please do not contact the Buddhafield Office, as you will only be redirected to the above email address.
We appreciate that this is a long form, but please answer as many questions as possible. Completing this form as fully as possible saves time and energy in the long run. We ask for all the information needed to find you an appropriate slot in one of our workshop spaces.
Thank you for your time and generosity.
