The Showers & Sauna Crew run the wood-fired sauna, showers and the relaxing and nourishing chill-out areas in the Green Tara Spa at the Buddhafield festival.
Typically, this involves:
- Meet and greet at reception
- Cleaning and maintaining the showers and saunas
- Chopping wood
- Tending the fires
- Keeping the area clean and tidy
- And doing everything we can to ensure visitors to the spa enjoy a relaxed, nourishing and revitalising visit.
You are asked to do one five-hour shift per day between 7am and 2am plus attend a mid-morning meeting of about one hour in length, where we will talk about the work, life in and around the spa, the universe and anything else that comes to mind as well as receiving some Dharma (Buddhist philosophy) input from Alobhin, an order member with many years of experience in the Triratna Buddhist Community.
The main body of the work is during the festival from Wednesday, 17th July - Sunday, 21st July, but the Sauna Crew needs to be on-site from Sunday, 14th July to help with set up and commit to staying until Sunday, 21st July, after your shift. Preferably, we'd like you to stay for a group check out in the morning on Monday, 22nd July.
In return, we offer:

Application for sauna & showers crew may be open until 30th April, 2024. We will not process applications until after this date, so please wait to hear from us until at least a couple of weeks from then before getting in touch. We will not be able to advise on the status of your application until then. We will let you know either way whether you have been successful or not.
If we get a large number of applications, we may close early, so please apply as soon as you can.
