Working with the Buddhafield Compliance Team Leader, the Compliance Team consists of 3 teams of 2 people, plus 2 x Sound Monitors.

What you will be expected to do:
Check that all temporary non-camping structures are safely erected, check that traders, including catering outlets, meet legal requirements. Position safety warning signs and information throughout the site. Even when off duty, keep an eye open to ensure that everybody sticks to the principles of safety and encourages a safety culture for all.
Some safety checks during the festival but enough free time to enjoy the activities on offer, then a half-day of retrieving signs and fire extinguishers afterwards. Full training given in how to perform safety checks.
The area of the site is large and on an incline. You need to be fit enough to walk for long periods, push a loaded wheelbarrow uphill, be prepared to help in an emergency whatever the weather, and be available for the whole of the duration of the role.
Skills required
- Ability to read, write, and understand English to a good standard.
- Integrity, reliability, thoroughness, and capable of dealing with people in a friendly, relaxed manner, even when under pressure.
- An interest / previous experience in Health and Safety a distinct advantage
- Level 2 (or higher) certificate in Food Hygiene or a willingness to familiarise yourself with on-line training in Food Hygiene Safety Standards before the Festival.

The duration of the role is Sunday 14th July 2024 @ 8.30am - Monday 22nd July 2024 - noon or later depending on when the Team is packed up.
Energy Exchange
A ticket to the festival, food while working during the set up. You bring your own camping or live-in vehicle arrangements. A full list of the other things you are expected to bring will be sent as part of the acceptance process should you be offered a role.
Sound Monitoring x 2
What you will be expected to do:
Take and record sound levels on paper at pre-defined locations around the site at given times between midday and 15 minutes after curfew (23.00 all nights except Saturday when it is midnight). Total time is estimated at less than 4 hours a day.
This role involves accessing designated points outside the site perimeters along uneven ground, in the dark, late at night, without a vehicle, and you must be available for the whole of the duration of the role.
Skills required
- Ability to learn the operation of a sound monitoring instrument and accurately record the readings onto paper.
- Able to average numbers.
- Integrity, reliability, thoroughness, and ability to work unsupervised to a designated timetable
