The GEA Decor team is a small team of people that comes together to beautifully and sensitively decorate the site. We encourage the use of natural and found materials, some of which we provide and some of which we aim to forage.
We are looking mainly for people who can make small scale work in response to the surroundings and the theme of Buddhafield’s year, ‘With Arms Wide Open’.
The Green Earth Awakening Camp runs as a charity fundraising event, supporting wider Buddhafield projects such as Buddhafield retreats and land maintenance. Buddhafield events also provide a context to practise as a Buddhist Right Livelihood, for many teams of practitioners on a full time, part time and voluntary basis. We run on a currency of generosity and with an ethos of 'give what you can, take what you need'.
You don't need to be a Buddhist to be involved with the camp, however we ask that you support our principals of providing a safe, inclusive, warm hearted space that is both drink and drug free.
This team will work best with good commitment to each other and the project.
You need to be able to commit to arriving on the 4th September, to start on the 5th September , and stay until Tuesday 17th September.
The gathering itself is the 11-15th September.
We’re looking forward to you bringing your ideas, energy, generosity, creative skills, physical labour and positivity. In return, we offer:
-your ticket to the event, and any vehicle passes that you may require.
-organic vegan food meals and snacks, as well as hot drinks, throughout your time onsite.
-Dharma input like talks, meditations and rituals.
-a chance to be part of an on-site close knit community.
Applications will be open until the end of July, and we will contact people after then.
