Join Buddhafield for a spacious, month-long journey through the Six Elements. We will meet them in our daily lives, wherever we find ourselves. We will explore earth, water, fire, air, space and consciousness.  Reflection on the elements can work on a number of levels. We may simply become more aware of our bodies and our surroundings, come to a deeper sense of the interconnectedness of all life or experience deep insight and know the radical ungraspability of all things.  We will invite you to find the dimension or dimensions that most resonate with you. 

We will be offering one or more delights each day throughout February. You can dip in as much or as little as you'd. Content will include: 

  • daily meditation sessions
  • movement session – yoga, tai chi, qi going and other practices
  • dharma talks
  • workshops
  • other talks including Living Bridges Conversations - join the Buddhafield Eco-Sattva team and others for a series of panel discussions addressing the relationship between Buddhist practice and the important issues of our time. Find out more here

How will it work? 

We’ll be hosting sessions on Zoom. Links and further details will be sent out by 28th January. As we change from one element to the next, you will receive another email with thoughts, details and other loveliness. Emails will be sent via Mailchimp. 

Please check your spam and other folders for the preparatory email on 28th January. Get in touch asap if you don’t have anything so we can make sure you are receiving the emails that will be sent during the event.

You will also be invited to join a closed Facebook group where you can keep up-to-date with announcements. If you are not on FB, that’s ok. We will be sending out important information by email. However, please note that the music and dance events will be FB live only so you will not see these if you are not in the group. 

 

Programme

We’ll be releasing more detailed information including the programme the coming weeks. We will be focused on each element for four days at a time and then all six element for the final four days. As a rough guide to help with planning we will be offering: 

  • daily meditations at 7.30am (30-45mins)
  • movement sessions approximately every other day at 10am (60-90mins)
  • two talks/ workshops/ rituals or other input per element at 7.30pm (60-90mins)
  • music, dance and entertainment at weekends (30-60mins)
  • an email with extra content on the evening before each element block begins

Please remember that you are invited to listen deeply to your needs and take what nourishes you from this event. There is no obligation to attend a certain number of sessions and you are welcome whenever you can make it. We will endeavour to record sessions and get them online asap for catch up but unfortunately, we cannot offer any guaruntees as to how quickly this will happen after the original braodcast.

How much does it cost? 

As well as a way to connect through the dharma and other expressions of joy, this is a chance for you to support Buddhafield. 

We have two ticket options to suit different pockets and temperaments. 

Option 1
If you prefer to commit to the whole month, need the motivation of having bought a full-price ticket or you want to be clear upfront about the give, you can buy our £75 ticket for the whole month. You can still give throughout the month if you feel moved but you also can relax as you’re covered. 

Option 2

If you want access but you’re not sure how much you will attend and you are happy to commit to ‘donate as you go’, you can pay a £25 deposit and then offer dana throughout the retreat. We ask that you donate £2-10 for each event you attend, via our donation platform.

  • Tickets for this event are non-refundable. Exceptional circumstances will be considered. Please email information@buddhafield.com with further details.
  • The published programme will be as accurate as possible but will be subject to change at the discretion of the organisers. Up to date programme information will be available via www.buddhafield.com and Facebook during the event as well as sent with the daily emails.
  • Access to the Facebook group is via ticket only. 
  • We cannot be held responsible for any technical difficulties that prevent your participation in a specific session within the programme. However, we are of course on hand to help prevent this. 
  • The minimum age for this event is 18. Anyone under this age must be accompanied by an adult and hold an adult ticket. We may ask for proof of age for anyone attending an event.
  • Most of the Zoom sessions will be recorded and broadcast to the private Facebook group. By taking part, you indicate that you agree to this recording and subsequent sharing of the recording on our website and social media channels.
  • We do not want to exclude anyone on the basis of financial hardship. Please get in touch if you need a discounted ticket. We have a limited number of subsidised places available.
