When is it? Wednesday 20 — Sunday 24 September 2017:  booking is open!

What is it? A five day camp exploring how Buddhism can help us along the path towards community and sustainability. With green crafts, engaged dharma, social change, forest school, healing area and a daily timetable of workshops, talks, meditation, yoga, qi gong, dance and music. An intimate gathering to deepen with a wider awareness. Check out our programme of tools for the mind, skills for our future.

How can I get involved? Would you like to help set up an event for 500 people? This is an opportunity to help build a small community which will set up this event. We will meet together, eat together and share the Dharma together.

Volunteers needed from 10 — 28 September (inclusive): apply.

Site crew — volunteering

This September we will be putting in the infrastructure for a 500 person event. We as a team of around 20 will be erecting tents and other structures, plumbing in the site, installing off-grid power supply, and other manual labour. There will be some tough physical work but also varied activities that are not so demanding. There is the space to meditate throughout the day and the opportunity for instruction if needed. This is a community building exercise not just work, work, work. We will spend 10 days setting up, then you can enjoy the event while it is on. You will be fed all 3 meals a day for the duration of your time on site. Every morning we will meet to discuss the day’s focus from a practical point of view, check in with each other and also to have Dharmic input into our day. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop community, learn practical skills ... and have a great time!

Volunteers needed for:

  • Site crew: work setup and tatdown of the event, with the event off.
  • Recyclers and toilet wizards: arrive day before event to set up and work through the event in shifts maintaining the toilets and processing the recylcing.
