This page is for prospective workshop leaders of any discipline, new and old, wanting to offer workshops or talks in the main workshop spaces at the Festival. The form below is also for independent workshop space providers and not-for-profit or charity stall holders. Workshops leaders for Land & Permaculture, Green Crafts, Women’s Space, and the Kids Area can also use the form, although these will be forwarded to the relevant Area Co-ordinators.

Please note that this form and email address is not for Healers or therapists, Yoga teachers, Dharma teachers or commercial stall holders. Please see the Festival Volunteers page for more information. If you are unsure, please fill out the form as best you can, and we will forward it to the right area of the festival.

... the warmth of the people, I feel largely which emanates from the crew underpinning the whole event, is also glorious.

Alcohol, Drugs and Contributing

The Festival aims to be alcohol and drug free. We believe it’s one of the things that makes the atmosphere at our festival special. A great many people come to Buddhafield because that’s our stated aim. It’s a value we actively want to promote.

You don’t need to be a Buddhist to be involved with the Festival, but whatever your views on drink or drugs, please bear in mind that if you lead a workshop then we’d like this value to be respected.

We would be grateful if you could answer as many questions as you can: the form is comprehensive, so filling it in fully saves both time and energy in the long run. If you’d like to think about this first, you could download a printable copy of the form.

About You

Crew and Tickets

The Buddhafield Festival runs on a ticketless system for workshop leaders. Everyone in your party counts as a “ticket”.

Please note that we only have limited numbers of tickets available. Preference may be given to those requesting 1-4 tickets, though we appreciate that every proposal is unique. Children of workshop leaders are free below 17 years old, though a £10 donation can be made to the Buddhafield Land Appeal if you are able.

Workshop Questions

Please provide a simple outline and details of each workshop you would like to offer below.

We suggest a minimum of 3, based on workshop space availability, for a full 5 day festival ticket. They sessions can stand alone, build on each other, or be in entirely different disciplines.

We generally offer between 15 — 30 minutes between each workshop.

Outline of Workshop 2

Outline of Workshop 3

Publicity of You and Your Workshop

Please give a short title for each workshop that can be used for the website, Facebook, the printed programme, workshop timetables and the Info Point boards on site. (The shorter the better for the info boards at the festival so that the title you have given it may be used, otherwise it will get shortened.)

We may need to edit some copy to fit various types of publicity.

Management of the Workshop Space

Power or Sound Equipment

Please note that all sound equipment onsite is powered by the sun or wind, and not all workshop spaces are able to provide power.

The information below will help the sound engineers look after you:

Workshop Leaders Offering an Independent Workshop Space

You only need to fill in this section if you are bringing your own structure/space.

As space is limited, we ask that you keep vehicles, caravans etc to a minimum and park in the Live-in field.

We’d like you to arrive by Wednesday 18 July: gate closes each evening at 10pm: late arrivals will have to stay overnight in the car park.

Any Questions?

What we are able to offer if your proposal is successful:

  • Up to 3 workshop slots between 1 - 2 hours, in 1 of our 7 workshop spaces (tbc) based on availability and on the basis of creating a diverse programme.
  • 1 meal ticket per workshop offered, per workshop leader or 2 meal tickets per person if running an independent workshop space or 2 workshops per day.
  • A description of your workshop, space or stall on our website www.buddhafield.com.
  • A short description of your workshop, space or stall in our printed festival programme.
  • The title of your workshop or space, when and where, on a weather proof card at our Info Point boards, at the festival.

...With lots of gratitude and thanks for your support

The Workshops Co-ordinator will review all applications received up to Sunday 11 March 2018 and then decide on which workshops to book so you will not get a reply before April.

Please do not call the Buddhafield office or message our Facebook page as you will only be redirected to this page, but you can send the Workshops Co-ordinator a general enquiry by email.

Please tick the box if you would like to go onto our address / email lists.
(Your details will not be passed on to anyone else.)
